The scriptures exhort us to provide for the poor, the homeless, the oppressed, the naked, the sick, the imprisoned, the widowed and the orphaned.  We are also called to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ to all nations. The HPUMC community supports these ministries with time, resources, and prayer to be in partnership around the globe.  We are constantly discerning our role in affecting positive change through homebuilding, church planting, medical assistance, and improving the quality of life for children.  How is God calling us to be present with our global neighbors?

Highland Park United Methodist Church has committed to build over 200 homes with Habitat for Humanity International.  Mission trips are being planned to build these homes in Cambodia in 2012 and 2014 and in Zambia in 2013 & 2015.
